Australian Natural Extracts has constructed a new unloading facility on their Barmah block. A state-of-the-art concrete pit ensures a quick and trouble-free unloading experience for drivers using the ANE facility.
Principal, Terence Hogan, reports that “Two km of locally sourced 110 cm poly pipe has been laid at the waste management and recycling site, along with the ergonomically efficient concrete unloading pit.” He praised local contractors Ted McGowan, Excavation and Earthmoving Contractors - Echuca, Polyfect Pipe Sales – Bendigo, Central Vic Poly Irrigation - Bendigo, and Think Water Echuca, who worked with the ANE team to complete the construction task on time and budget.
Emm Group, who manages the quarry, has supplied good quality sand to resurface football ovals in Ballarat. In addition, brickies and concrete manufacturing business operators across the state have sourced supplies of sand.
Recycled wash water is being trialled within site to dampen the dust caused by increased truck activity in the newly established ANE facility. Once approved, this product will be available for other worksites where truck movements generate dust on gravel roads.
Integrating the carbon-rich materials into the depleted soil near the Barmah forest to create an improved habitat for diverse flora and fauna species forms the basis of the ANE business model.
Heavy machinery is employed to landscape the site, enabling more effective weed management and by-product application to boost soil fertility.
We are also working with the adjoining national park to re-fence the boundary and install automatic gates for truck traffic.
